Amother Hotel Group Provides Covid-19 Insurance
June 29, 2020
Palladium Hotel Group has pledged to offer guests "free medical assistance insurance" this summer at its newly-reopened and soon-to-reopen Spanish properties.
The group on Friday 26 June reopened the Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort and Spa. This will be followed by Agroturismo Sa Talaia (8 July), Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza and Bless Hotel Ibiza (10 July), Palladium Hotel Costa del Sol (16 July), and Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife (30 July).
The insurance will cover the full duration of guests’ stays, and is available to all guests – both those that book director or through operators or agents.
The cover has been launched in collaboration with risk management company Materh; the policy has been designed by InterMundial, with support from Europ Assistance.
Palladium says it will mean guests are "protected against any unforeseen circumstances related to the current Covid-19 pandemic".
Guests staying at any of the newly-reopened hotels will be insured for any incident directly related to Covid-19 that may occur during their stay.
This includes covering treatment costs, hospital costs, transfers, or any necessary extensions to stays.
Sergio Zertuche, Palladium chief sales and marketing officer, said: “The current situation the world is going through has made us all adapt to a new reality.
"With this new insurance product, we hope our customers will continue to put their trust in Palladium Hotel Group and are reassured and confident in choosing us for their holidays”.
The new cover complements Palladium’s new Covid health and safety protocols, developed and implemented in partnership with SGS.
The new measures applies to the properties in Spain that Palladium opened starting from 26 June.
The Palladium Group run 50 hotels across 6 in South and Central America, the Caribbean, Canary Islands, Mainland Spain, The Balearics and Sicily, including the Hard Rock 'franchise' in Spain.
