BA and Lufthansa reinstate more UK routes

British Airways and Lufthansa have both announced further route reinstatements for August.
Lufthansa has reinstated links to its Frankfurt hub from Scotland and put its Birmingham-Munich service back into operation.
Edinburgh-Frankfurt services are now operating daily except Tuesday with return fares from £110.92. Glasgow-Frankfurt flights are running five times a week, with return fares from £97.40.
Lufthansa’s daily Birmingham-Munich flight is also reinstated, with return fares starting from £91.56. The carrier offers connections to Rhodes and Turkey from the German airport.
The additions mean Lufthansa is now operating from six UK and Ireland airports.
Meanwhile British Airways have resumed operations to a further 10 popular holiday destinations amongst a number of route reinstalm,ents this August.
Flights to Bari, Bastia, Bodrum, Bordeaux, Catania, Figari, Kefalonia, Malta, Paphos and Pula have resumed; while in long-haul, Antigua and Nairobi are now back in the schedules.
Also reinstated are services to Islamabad, Frankfurt, Genoa, Lyon and Luxembourg. All services are departing from Heathrow.
In another move BA have siad that they are extending the transfer of routes from Gatwick to Heathrow to at least November.
