Emirates to resume Birmingham Flights

Emirates will resume operations at Birmingham airport during September.

The Gulf carrier will reintroduce a four-times-weekly Dubai service, starting 1 September.

Flights will be operated by a Boeing 777-200R aircraft.

It means that from September, Emirates will operate 36 weekly UK flights to Dubai from Birmingham, Glasgow, Heathrow and Manchester.

The UK currently does not have a quarantine-free travel corridor with the UAE, and the Foreign Office has not exempted the destination from advisory against all but essential worldwide travel.

The carrier has also announced plans to resume flights to Cebu and Houston, boosting its network to 74 destinations.

Dubai has reopened to business and leisure visitors, although Covid tests are mandatory for all inbound and transit passengers – irrespective of country of departure.

The WTTC has awarded Dubai its Safe Travels stamp, recognising its efforts and measure to ensure health and safety.

Emirates is offering free, global Covid medical cover should a passenger be diagnosed with the infection during their travel.

Cover is immediately effective for all Emirates customers departing up to and including 31 October, and is valid for 31 days from the moment they complete the first leg of their journey.
