EasyJet set to resume limited flights
May 21, 2020
EasyJet are set to resume a limited flight programme during June where there is "sufficient customer demand to support profitable flying".
The schedule will mainly comprise UK domestic and French routes, with more to be announced over the coming weeks as demand increases and European lockdown measures are relaxed.
No additional details of the routes easyJet plans to operate from the outset have yet been disclosed.
Flights will be operated according to strict new safety and sanitation guidelines, with passengers, cabin crew and ground staff required to wear masks.
Aircraft will be subject to enhanced cleaning and disinfection; disinfectant wipes and hand sanitiser will be available onboard; and there will initially be no onboard food service.
EasyJet said the measures had been devised and implemented in consultation with the International Civil Aviation Organization and European Aviation Safety Agency, and in line with government and medical advice.
It has also pledged to continue guiding passengers to reduce interactions during the airport journey, such as by boarding using digital boarding passes.
